Re: FusionHDTV 3.41Beta3 Released...

I installed these on the 11th.. They fix the no signal issue after a resume or cold boot. :-)

But I still think the whole card is an unstable piece of s#%t.

The drivers need to get better.

MCE is still buggy IMHO when it comes to the scanning of channels.. But its hard to know what to blame, the tunercard/drivers or MCE.. After installing these drives (after a clean windows install and udpate) I could watch TV using the Fusion software, and MCE could scan and find all the channels, but when it came to watching them in MCE I got permanent NO SIGNAL errors.. I couldnt work it out! Then after three or so reboots it just started working and hasnt stopped since. Who knows. :-(

Re: FusionHDTV 3.41Beta3 Released...

Thanks for the update David.

I've got a problem with my current MCE box. It can't uninstall the 3.30.01 software! Comes up with some weird programming error

Might need to rebuild from scratch

Re: FusionHDTV 3.41Beta3 Released...

Have you tried useing the installer for 3.41 to uninstall it. My uninstall was hanging when i tried to do it normally, so i just decided to install 3.41 over the top however its installer was able to remove it fine.

I'm likeing this update, it seems to have fixed a number of scanning and recording issues i've been having. =D

Re: FusionHDTV 3.41Beta3 Released...

I've now tried beta 3 on two rigs. So far not good! First machine goes black for all video on channel change as well as when swapping from full screen to window or back. Restarting Media Center restores video, but only until I change channel etc. I've tried restarting machine, changing decoder, no go.

Second machine (which I'm resetting up from scratch) doesn't find all channels with Beta 3 - Channel 9 and 9 HD aren't there. I've uninstalled and installed Beta 2 and all the channels are found - no other change. I did try scanning a couple of times too, deleting all channels etc along the way.

Sadly I still have issues with the Fusion Remote conflicting with my Logitech Bluetooth mouse/keyboard which is why I went looking for new drivers in the first place.

I do appreciate the prompt answers I get from Dvico. Hopefully they get it all sorted soon.

Re: FusionHDTV 3.41Beta3 Released...

Working fine here. No big changes...

MCE2005 still doesn't find Prime HD reliabily, (or so far, at all) but FusionHDTV still finds everything.

Re: FusionHDTV 3.41Beta3 Released...

I posted the same to Dvico site and it seems they're aware of the black video issue (which may well be related to the vid card in this poor excuse for a media center box). Here's what they had to say:- (ps, not sure about the decoder bit they're saying, as I was using Cyberlink/PowerDVD decoder, then tried Sonic Cinemaster, as that's also installed on here).

Hi.
Sorry about all your inconveniences.
We'll check the channel scanning again.
We got the report from our beta tester that he can scan all channel without problem.
But we're revising the decoder, so black screen will fix until next version.
Thanks.

Re: FusionHDTV 3.41Beta3 Released...

lolz...I just started using the beta2 version and it seems to be working OK, with the persistent, intermittent mild stutter ive only ever had since I got the dcivo lite card.

For some reason MCE will only find the channels after i have found them with the fusion app. I dont know why this is so, as Id prefer not to have to install the fusion app.(doing a manual locate and install wont work)

cheers
Astro

Re: FusionHDTV 3.41Beta3 Released...

After many lockups with ehshell.exe stuck on 50% CUP utilisation when simply navigating (specifically the 'back' button) I've gone back to 3.3.01 drivers (with the bluebird2 patch). I can't say it was definately the beta2 or beta3 drivers causing all the problems, as I was testing a few other updated drivers/decoders at the same time. It's working beautifully now, so I should just leave it alone eh?

Re: FusionHDTV 3.41Beta3 Released...

Its weird, Ive been really happy with these 3.41 beta 3 drivers (after sorting out some quirks when first installing them)

The system now seems stable (OMG)

I still think either DVICO or MS have some work to do with the channel scanning cause its a real nightmare.. But other than that, these drivers are AOK.

P.S Anyone notice the yellow borders around the TV image - noticable when MCE has the video in the small preview window. ?

Simple. MCE doesn't have PIP capability...to test, hit record and change channels...
