I found a link from a thread that was back in 05 which has you signing up to paypal, is this still the way to danate ?

Wow that is old!

I no longer accept donations due to ongoing if somewhat fruitless (at this stage) attempts to secure reasonable funding via banner ads, and at some point, email marketing.

Fingers crossed some cash will appear before I retire . . .

Sorry mate, I'm afraid they're no longer available.

If things don't work out with the advertising however, they'll need to be re-activated.

You know, i'd really like to donate something for this site, gives me the feeling of contribution. Unfortunately this are hard times, I'm still balancing my financial stability. Hope to share something in the future though.
