One of the banner ads causes 100% CPU Utilisation in IE
Now that I've changed pages I can't remember which one it was, but there is a banner ad that drives IE7 under Vista 100% CPU busy and it is very slow to get off that page since, well, the system is so busy. It's one of the animated ones, that much I remember.
Anyone else seen this? If/when it happens again I'll note what was being displayed at the tme.
Re: One of the banner ads causes 100% CPU Utilisation in IE
Mike,
Happened again this morning on this banner animated AMEX banner. 100% CPU utilisation, Vista SP1, IE7, only IE7 running and only one tab open (this site) at the time. Utilisation goes back to normal when another add is displayed.

Thanks Oz,
I've emailed the ad agency and asked them to check it out at their end, I haven't ben able to personally verify the behaviour you mention since I haven't seen the ad yet.
I'll report back when I receive more information.
Mike
