Why is my post not in New Posts?

Yesterday I posted the post below and I didn't see it in the New Posts section. Did it get missed or was I just too slow?

Because you've already viewed the post (by creating it) it isn't new to you and won't appear as a new post.

In addition to Akuma's explanation.
If you go to Quick Links. Then select Today's Posts. You will see your post.
It all depends on the search criteria you use. New Posts or Today’s posts.
