Hey Mike,
Just a couple of things in terms of forum feedback. Firstly someone mentioned to me the other day that if they had not been alerted to the Thanks button by another memeber they would not have known it existed. I don't know if it's possible but it might be nice if it was a bit more prominent and/or if new members were alerted to it when they first join. I know most people kind of like to thank someone if they have been helped and the person providing advice generally appreciates the associated rep points so it might be worthwhile looking at ways to make it more obvious and to get people more familiar with the practice.

On a related note, I was reading this thread this morning and noted that the Thanks button did not even appear. Browsing around other threads I didn't see the same issue so I assume it's something to do with that specific thread.

I think he just wants Mike to code it so that when someone clicks on a thread he's posted in, he gets an automatic thanks

P.S. I do like the idea that whenever they go to a thread I've posted in I get some rep points but frankly I reckon it would work better if it was just when anybody enters the forum.

I don't have the "Thanks" option switched on for our non support forums - the pub and IceTV discussions being two of them.

Mike, don't be that "old guy with some rules" - people do use Pub and IceTV forum to help each other, despite the fact that you did not design it like this. If they want to thank each other in the Pub, why not?
