I've been around a fair bit over the last couple of days and the slowest thing around here is the computer operator

Re: website speed = grandma

this site was never that quick, certainly when compared with likes of Whirlpool, etc - but I have to agree with the OP - it seems to be getting slower..

Can't argue that we've slowed down a bit over the last 3 months - and to make it worse, at 4:00am we're right in the middle of backups given that's when most Oz traffic should be fast asleep

Re: website speed = grandma

I've noticed that it is a lot slower with IE7. I believe this is due to IE7's Phishing filter (you can see it still scanning away down the bottom).

As firefox doesn't have that feature it is a lot quicker.

Re: website speed = grandma

I have phising disabled on mine, it still takes 20 odd seconds just to load this page to reply.
that is at 1:27pm as well, so it had nothing to do with backing up or anything. what can be done to make it faster? do you pay for website speed just like we do for our plans on our internet? or do u just pay for bandwith? I have never owned a website so Idunno what can be done.
