    New Windows Vista Build 5308.60 Released!

    Only days ofter 5308 was released, it has been "released" again! This recompile of 5308 is faster, sleeker, cleaner, and better than ever. This is the FIRST time MS has EVER followed a Vista build with another, just days later.. Especially not two CTPs in a row

    Don't count on getting a hold of it anyone........

    I think it's an internal build (not for testers) like the 528x series

    oops sorry just checked it and it is available...

    i'd just wait for the next beta as this build offers barely anything different (sur its a better perfomer but i think its a bit silly that everyone is jumping to gt a hold of this)

    A comment on the above article states;

    I know that this is confusing, so I wanted to post something to try and clear things up.
    The only changes in the build “5308.60″ are for server. For client it is exactly the same as “5308.17″.
    It has zero effect on client, but won’t hurt anything if you use those ISO images to install client.
    So unless you are testing server, you can just save your bandwidth.

    This new build also takes alot longer to install. It is an unstaged build so it installs from packages and not a single image. Installing from an image usually takes about 20-30 minutes, the packages can take double or even triple that time. Some people have even reported it to take as long as 3 hours to complete.

    And yes, the only real differences are in the server edition, those using the client edition (e.g. for the Media Center app) have no use for 5308.60.
