I have a new Windows 7 HTPC, and a Hauppage 950Q. When is setup the ir blaster, all works well except for two major drawbacks. Double digits don't work no matter what the speed setting; ie. 122 goes to channel 12. Other major issue is the speed of the channel changing. The remote changes the channel instantly on the media center, however, It takes about 3 full seconds for the blaster to complete the settop box change.
Hello darin3000,
I am not 100% sure in your question, if you are having problems with your remote from your 950Q, and you are using ir blaster, I suggest you change your remote, quick and easy option, http://www.digitek.net.au/2009/09/ge...eview/#more-19 ( will operate 4 divices )
It sounds like you may need to disable debouncing. Give that a shot and see if it fixes your problem.
The other reason is that WMC buffers tuner streams, so while it appears to take a while to change the channel, it's the buffer that's got to catch up to the channel change. As far as I'm aware, it's not possible to disable the tuner buffer (Different to live TV buffer).
BTW, what STB are you having trouble with? Austar or Foxtel, and which model?
As predicted it was a pretty big job and I'm rooted. :(
