Hi all from sunny Peterborough (UK) . I seem to be in a minority amongst the folks I know in that I love media centre ( comes as a result of being addicted to cod4 & cod5 on my beloved xbox live ).
It seemed that the natural thing to do was have all my tunes go through media centre on a wireless link through my router .
Now the best part is I seem to have the touch of death on lap tops .I am using my trusted sony viao that I had converted ages ago to run with media centre XP '05 OS .
A few months ago the hard drive went ( again 5th time !!!) so I decided to get a new lap top and go for one of the new fandangled vistas with and nice new media centre on it . The problem was that the sound kept muting . I tried all sorts , but after a couple of weeks I sent it back and had my sony repaired . So far all is well , I prefer the 05 version although the later version was a little smoother but no use .
Anyway thats what I'm using . I've got around 800 albums on so far and its growing all the time . I'm an avid music fan into anything credible so from 70's dub reggae scientist , prince jammy , king tubby ,, 80's american punk descendents , misfits , D.I. , bad religion etc then the who , stones , small faces , the stooges , stones roses and sir king monkey ian brown , oasis , kasabian, clash , sex pistols , herbaliser , dj shadow , johnny cash arctic monkeys etc ( I even downloaded neil diamond and glen campbell the other day to my sisters horror . I'm an aging punk rocker so the list goes on and on .... I love my tunes . I even know a little of Jimmy Barnes ;-) as my sis married an ozzie .
There you have it guys a brief insight in to my humble aboad .

Although I'm a Linux newbie I thought I'd throw some more info into the pot about the hvr-2200 driver being in the 2.6.32 kernel.
