you can use the installer.exe to create your own menu items that run exe file from MCE.
I think this is a useful tool - thus it is in a different thread.
You can set defaults by modifying the ini file.
if you really want to get a little advanced - such as closing MCE on running an exe and then opeing MCE after the app closes... see the RunApp.exe and RunApp.ini in the RunApp.zip file
All you have to do is tell the installer to use 'RunApp.exe' and then configure RunApp to run your application.
After you've used the configurator to get the basic stuff happening, you need to adjust the ini files for each registration.

If you browse down to the folder with the same name as your registration you will see an ini file, you only need to edit this. To open up ABC iView in full screen I created a registration that opens iexplore. I've edit the ini file to go to "c:\program files\Internet explorer\iexplore.exe -k http://abc.net.au/iview"
The -k open IE in kiosk mode, i.e. (haha) in full screen mode with no buttons, address bar etc. This is the same as pressing F11.

Although I'm a Linux newbie I thought I'd throw some more info into the pot about the hvr-2200 driver being in the 2.6.32 kernel.
