Creating music playlists

I know that this is probably the dumbest question asked here, but how can I create a playlist for my music that I can play on my Xbox 360?

Not a dumb question, though you should have tried google first as the first hit is the Xbox support page : http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/sy...istenmusic.htm

I do believe that you can only create a playlist for music on the Xbox HDD and/or memory cards, not for music that is on other devices like an iPod.
