Question HTPC to CRT: Need cable, which one?

hey folks,

first post - woot! ... and perhaps my first beating!?!?!? :S

sorry if this has been asked before, but my searching is not showing up what i'm after!?!?!? obviously not searching on the right terms and thats no surprise considering my lack of knowledge in this area, so if anyone wants to point me in the right direction, please do. . . .

but if you are feeling particularly "good-samaritan-ly" then maybe you could help out?

i have my htpc set up and its based on a 780g mobo (Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H v1.1). now i do have a 7600gt in it, but i am wanting to pull that out as i have another system that needs a video card and that will do the job just nicely!! so i am looking at just using the onboard hd3200 now.

now the screen that i will be using for my display is my ol' faithful 76cm widescreen CRT. it has component-in on it as well as s-video and your standard composite. now i would like to use the component port but i'm not sure if this is going to happen for me.

i did do some googling and found some vga to component cables but word on the website and from the guy behind the website is that no, those cables won't do what i want them to. so question:

how do i and with what, can i connect my vga/dvi-d/hdmi port on my motherboard directly to the component/s-video/composite port on the CRT tv??

all help and info greatly appreciated,
Dodgy Bob

This thread may be of some help but I suspect you will probably have to have a discrete card to make it work:
