Thumbs up Great cabinet airflow/cooling fan from Skythe

Hi,

anyone looking for a cabinet airflow fan this is the one to get because it is dead silent: http://www.pccasegear.com.au/prod3489.htm

Just got a new custom lowline cabinet made and was playing with some airflow/cooling options.

Cabinnet is Tasmanian Oak 2000mm width, 400mm high, 700mm deep. Cabinet sits 5mm off the wood floor.

Seperated into 3 sections. Outer sections enclosed with wood doors, centre section has door frame but speaker material as it houses my centre speaker. Locks on the doors for little hands 8).

Left section has my HTPC (see specs below). I have 3 holes in the floor and have put one of these Skythe 120mm fan in the top rear. This fan is awesome, 8.7dba, 800rpm, moving 33.5cfm and is absolutely silent. http://www.pccasegear.com.au/prod3489.htm

PC runs cpu (AMD 3000+) 30.5C when watching TV and recording a second channel, ambient temperature 22C. Basically exactly the same as when I had it on the floor outside the cabinet. I leave the lid off the case (Antec Overture II) but because it is fully hidden you cannot see it anyway. WAF point rocketing at the moment.

I will try and post some pics over the next couple of days.
