iPod problems + no mount or response

Hey everyone, I seem to be having a few iPod problems (4G 20GB) after replacing the hard drive (can't be formatted as I have no way to without being recognised) and battery. I can't get past the Apple logo, I can't get into Diagnostic Mode and it doesn't even work plugged into the wall socket or the computer (running USB2).

Anyone have ideas for it, know a good repair place or have a second-hand one they wanna sell?

I believe you need a mac to do what you want.

I also believe I need a further $1500 to do what I want.

Thumbs up Re: iPod problems + no mount or response

I bought a new black 80GB classic on Thursday night and it actually works. I just couldn't be f*cked anymore with the old one so now I can watch my TV shows on the go.

The other parts from the old one (Toshiba 1.8" 10GB drive + 20GB drive and new battery) will be sold on eBay as Buy It Now, so if you want them I'll put the link up when they're on - should be later this week.
