1.8" hard drives - where to buy?

I've been looking everywhere for a 1.8" hard drive of 10GB or more for the iPod. I've rang about 25 places in Adelaide, emailed about ten of them - and my warranty ran out just over a week before it stuffed up. It needs to fit the 4th gen model colour photo editions.

If you know can you please help? Apple don't want to even tell me where I can get a replacement and hardly anyone stocks them. If anyone's selling one or got one spare I'd be very interested to hear from you!

Re: 1.8" hard drives - where to buy?

Well, I got it about from some Melbourne PC store a little cheaper.

But it didn't work - so a trip up to an Apple repair center said it's the logic board - bugger; and they're not cheap to replace either. I wish they'd told me that earlier.

The logic board? Yep, it may be that I have to pay to get it fixed.

If it's anything after that I'll just buy a new one and stick this one on eBay for parts for someone.
