That's the plan

I wouldn't count on it - if it's not there now, it's probably for some reason that you can't fix by editing ehres.dll. Perhaps you have the wrong region set on your PC, or the sports directories have been deleted from c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\Packages?

Advent;

I just wanted to thank you for one of the neatest add-ins to VMC. This is the kind of customization that makes VMC easier to use for the whole family. I really like your plans to add more customization to existing strips. I can't wait to move my Video Library to a more prominent location. Great stuff.

My region is correctly set and under that path, I have a folder called SportsSchedule

Should there be any others? And if so, any idea how I would get them back?

thanks.

Cheers Danno - but don't thank me yet, I haven't finished! Been too busy with real life so far this week, but hopefully will be able to make some good progress this weekend.

Yeh, i'm pretty sure there should be more than that. As far as getting them back, i'm not sure - you could try changing your region, running mcupdate, then changing your region back and running mcupdate again - but that's just a guess. But you're probably better off asking at somewhere like http://thegreenbutton.com rather than an Australian forum (Australia doesn't get the sports strip at all!).

I had already asked but never received any replies.. Then I stumbled onto a post about Internet TV which mentioned enabling Microsoft Updates (within Media Center not the regular Windows Updates)

http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/post/212497.aspx

This gave me Internet TV and the Sports stuff.

thanks... Now I'll wait for the next version of this customizer

Still working on it - i've been sick all week, so progress has been slow. It took me longer than I expected to get the renaming of strips/menu items working (complications with dealing with multilingual dlls) but it should all be sorted now.

Mostly just needs some code to automate the process of making ehres.dll (and mui files) writable, an installer, a couple of other small features, and a little bit of polish (a few icons etc missing). Ideally i'd have a version ready for beta by the end of this weekend - but it looks like a pretty busy weekend, so we'll see If worst comes to worst I might release the beta but require you to perform some manual steps to get ehres.dll writable, and with a few icons missing, just so people have something to play with.

Oh, and also - i'm probably going to need a place to host this (and maybe a webpage, too). If anyone has any suggestions for free web hosting, please let me know. I considered using a Windows Live Space & Skydrive, but it doesn't track download counts, which i'd be interested in seeing.

Great work Advent

Now, if only *someone* could find a way to disable the useless post-video-playback-menu and just return the user to the movie library with the just played video selected.. *nudge* *nudge*
