Re: Perth EPG Queries

Hi Robe and welcome.

Hillbillies eh? SillyBillies maybe, but hillbillies? How about the clasic cowboys?

I hacked my dll quite a while ago and found the Melbourne frequencies to be the same as Perths. That link Mike posted should do ya if not post back and we'll fix you up.

Cheers

Sambooka (Hillbilly from the Wild Wild West )

Re: Perth EPG Queries

Thanks. I shall try it tonight then post success or failure tomorrow.

Oh! by the way, I read the guide and there is no mention of the dll file. Sorry about that but I am still newbie, what do I do with the dll???? I autotuned and have all channels setup but the numbering is a bit messy.

About the Hillbillies remark, I was just referring to my family and myself only.....

Hi again Robe,

I misunderstood and assumed you meant the dll for tuning frequencies as that seems to be the most popular query in this forum. You dont need this as you have tuned all channels already.

I have attached my Channelinfo and TvHarvest config files. These should get you going.

Cheers

Re: Perth EPG Queries

Glad to help Robe.

The EPG rocks doesn't it? Not quite the same without it!

Cheers

Re: Perth EPG Queries

I'm only new to MCE at the moment, something I've been meaning to get around to for a while. When trying to get an EPG together I ran across TVxb to grab the TV listings and format them into XMLTV files. QuickGuide then can convert those to whatever format it is that MCE requires. This was before I realised this forum even existed.

I'm not sure if this package that you have here includes TVxb (sounds like TVHarvest is an alternative), but the program uses public web sites and tries to interpret the HTML tables containing the channel schedules.

To the point of this thread, there's a link on there for "country .ini files", which will give you TVxb configuration for FTA television for every capital city in Australia. It's text, so if you're looking for EPG sources for Perth, just have a read of the file with visual notepad to grab the URLs it uses.

Have a look at www.tvxb.com

Alex.
