Question Latest December 2005 Perth Guide info

Is Bladerunner still the go for EPG in Perth? I downloaded IceTV Guide trial and only got an ABC TV listing even though my Media Centre doesn't pick up ABC...GRR, think it is due to weak signal. These PCI tuner cards jast arn't as good as a dedicated set top box that I run on my oldish Sony Widescreen CRT (60KG job ).

If so what is the best install and easiest way to do this, just want to make sure I have latest info as have spent hours trolling the website...tooo many threads...and I am not a developer so sometimes hard to follow all.

Thanks in advance...newbie trying his best to understand.

Hi Warren,

If you're only getting "ABC (Sample)" listings then more than likely there has been a problem with the setup process.

Easiest fix is to re-run the Iceguide4MCE setup program on your MCE machine and run through as an existing customer. Once done you will get a message saying registration successful. You can then go back into MCE and choose the option to "Get Latest Guide Listings" which can be found in "Settings", then "TV" and then "Guide".

If you are still having troubles after that please don't hesitate contact me direct.

Re: Latest December 2005 Perth Guide info

Personaly I use Bladerunner Pro and have done for about 6 months its free *I'm sure any donations would be appreciated* and if you keep it updated with the latest versions then you have little to no problems.

The downside at the moment with Bladerunner is that you do not get very long prog descriptions within the EPG ( about one line ) that and the fact that it goes down from time to time.. However it gets fixed up by Awesome people like Monstor asap.

If you want trouble free MCE2005 EPG in Perth then get Static ICE, well worth the money and very little problems. ( Helps with the WAF )

Cool thanks AlphA!

When you say static ICE you mean ICEguide from www.icetv.com.au yes? AND er.. what is WAF?

I have been using BRP for about a month now and they one line description is always just a little too short, really annoying as an extra four or five words would make all the diff. Thanks for the update in advance.
