I have just set up the FREE XMLTV and after I choose EPG Data, I keep getting a code 13 when downloading the Guide data, I've followed the steps properly. I didn't set up BRP, not sure what to do, have tried adding the FREEXMLTV.exe in the BRP/Guidedata folder, into the Configurator BRP as a grabber. Still not working. Also I installed the YouTube, and that also won't connect, not sure if these are interrelated.
But my internet works with the online spotlight. so i'm not sure what the problem is. I thought it was because my time wasn't synchronising, but I just got it working now with the time server; ntp.cs.mu.OZ.AU from melbourne University.
Just some extra information, i live in perth, and only just installed MCE, and at the start wizard my internet was tested, and working. I've also opened the UDP port 123, and port 443. Some websites said port 123 is for the time server, and 443 is a port used for MCE. I'm not sure if there are other ports I must open, I have tried searching, but have only found the port 443. Port 80 is also opened already.
I have a new problem, i decided to try dugg, and it seemed to be working, then during downloading the guide, I got a new error.
'Unable to load new Guide file. Please try downloading later, or changing your lineup in Media Center Settings Code: 23.'
I'm not sure how to fix this, on the Astebner Blog, he says:
'Try download later. If that does not solve the problem, rename the folder %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Ehome\EPG. You may also need to rename %ALLUSERSPROFILE%.WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Ehome\EPG if that folder exists.'
But I don't understand how to do this, if someone wouldn't mind explaining this, it would be much appreciated dudes.

My guide file after being created by Blade Runner seems to turn into a '.bin' instead of '.xml' and I think thats why I get the error code:23, guide file can't be downloaded. But I don't know how to get this to be .xml
While the dugg program is running and the guide.xml is made, it's in the proper format, at the end of bladerunner its '.bin'

Yes, that's right. BRP is giving you the file in a format that MCE accepts i.e. the EPG data in encrypted format and hence the .BIN file. Dugg is just giving you the raw xml. You can of course try tools such as QuickGuide or earlier versions of BRP to push the raw XML into MCE although this has it's own source of problems.
