All I Want Is To You Composite Input On My Tuner Card

I have a TV@ANYWHERE card. Its has a composite input that i want to plug my austar into.

I run the setup tv in settings and its gets to the part were it scans for the inputs. Its finds the image and sound in the little preview screen. I hit next and it tells me i cant go any further because the IR HARDWARE IS NOT DETECTED.

I am so sorry if i have bought up some thing old i have tried searching, I must of looked at over a hundred posts on anything to do with austar.

This is making me so angry. There has to be a way that allows you to view a composite input through media centre.

Any help would be awesome, im getting so angry ive spent all this money and i cant get it to work.

Thanks Guys

Do you have the MS or Hauppauge remotes with the IR blaster (that goes from the USB receiver unit to in front of the Austar STUs IR receiver)? If not, that's what you need - MCE/VMC will only work with line in if it can control the device it is capturing from.

Yes, that's what you need - it should have come with 2 cables that plug in to those sockets. You plug one of those in & the other end sits on the IR receiver of your Austar box.

Re: All I Want Is To You Composite Input On My Tuner Card

Not quite correct. The input No 1 controls the IR bud transmitter, which you need to stick in front of the IR receiver on your Austar set-top box. I have not found any use for No 2....perhaps someone can tell me what that one's for.

I find BLUTAC a good way to stick the little bud onto the STB.

Once you have the IR Blaster plugged into the USB port, you use WMC via SETUP to learn the commands of the remote control.
