Editing Channel Numbers

Hi Guys,

Have got foxtel + 2 dtv's working together. Having 2 problems

1. If I try to edit the DTV channels (e.g change TEN HD from channel 1 to channel 50) the TEN HD channel then gets assigned to foxtel tuner, and it switches to foxtel when trying to view this channel

2. Say if Media Center thinks its on channel 108, and someone has changed the foxtel channel via the Foxtel STB, media center will not know. Then when its schedualed to record something on 108, it won't change to '108' before recording as it thinks its already on this channel, and it will just start recording. Is there anyway to force Media center to send through the channel code via IR before recording any program?
