Re: Just got my new Hauppauge 1300!

I have been running 2 of them for more than a year. Good cards, was running Foxtel on one of them, but not any more - BT channel took over.
Good choice - they work well as digital or analogue.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I have a ripper of a tip

Disable temporal noise reduction ASAP, or all your recordings will be smeared and ghosted.

Not sure if you're running MCE or Vista, but have a read of these threads:

Disappointing capture quality with Hauppauge HVR-1300

and this:

Ghosting Blur on medium movement

If you're using MCE, this should help:

Re: Just got my new Hauppauge 1300!

Im running MCE 2005. Im looking forward to setting it up this weekend. So i can start recording foxtel. Can you tell me, can the MCE remote change the channels for foxtel or doe mce only behave as a AV channel?

And is there any way of getting a epg for it via mce?
