BladeRunner Pro v3 and Oztivo grabber errors

Hi,

I have followed the instructions from http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/TVGuide/MCE and everything works fine until instruction 8, where I test BladeRunner Pro and get this:

"
WHOOPS, Process failed, please refer to any errors....
C:\WINDOWS\EHome\BladeRunnerPro\QuickGuide\QuickGu ide.exe did not execute successfully...

Please enter to continue...
"
Earlier on just after it says downloading day 13232 a.k.a.....

"
System.Xml.XmlException: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(Exception e)
at System.Xml.XmlText.........
"
and so on and on
It also says:

"Could not find file 'C:\WINDOWS\EHome\BladeRunnerPro\GuideData\listing 2.xml'."

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

In configurator, try inserting the full path for the listing2.xml file.
ie. -o C:\windows\ehome\guidedata\listing2.xml.

Also while the guide is downloading, check that directory to see if the file is actually being created.

Re: BladeRunner Pro v3 and Oztivo grabber errors

I put "-o C:\windows\ehome\guidedata\listing2.xml" into the arguments section. This did not work. I also tried "/o:C:\WINDOWS\EHOME\BladeRunnerPro\GuideData\listin g2.xml", I assume this is the folder you meant since there isn't actually a folder "C:\windows\ehome\guidedata\". Neither of these worked and the file was not created, the same error occured.

Re: BladeRunner Pro v3 and Oztivo grabber errors

I have manually run oztivo.exe from the command prompt, it comes up with errors. I believe this is the problem and that the other errors in BladeRunner Pro will not occur if this is fixed. This is what exactly says:

Found 6 channels...

Downloading day 13233 a.k.a 26/03/2006

System.Xml.XmlException: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(Exception e)
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(String res, String arg)
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.P****RootLevelWhitesp ace()
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.P****DocumentContent( )
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Read()
at System.Xml.XmlLoader.Load(XmlDocument doc, XmlReader reader, Boolean preserveWhitespace)
at System.Xml.XmlDocument.Load(XmlReader reader)
at System.Xml.XmlDocument.LoadXml(String xml)
at OzTivoGrabber.Program.Main(String[] args)

I have also tried using tv_grab_au_tuhs.exe using the guide http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/vie.../MCEWithPython.
I configure tv_grab_au_tuhs.xml and run it through BladeRunner Pro but an error occurs using this way aswell. I have also run tv_grab_au_tuhs.exe manually and this is what it says:

Re: BladeRunner Pro v3 and Oztivo grabber errors

I thought you were having a similar problem to what I had. Looks to be different. I could send you my tv_grab_au_tuhs.xml, if you like. Works for Melbourne FTA and foxtel digital. Did you make sure you set the guide output on user preferences in tvguide.org.au to XMLTV format?

Re: BladeRunner Pro v3 and Oztivo grabber errors

tombot - just tested oztivo then with no problems whatsoever.

its possible that the XML on 1 of those days is not welformed for ur state / channel.

Re: BladeRunner Pro v3 and Oztivo grabber errors

I checked what drturner said about making sure that I had set my tvguide.org.au preferences to xmltv output and it was set to V2 stationay format. So I changed this to xmltv output and it works fine now. I can't believe I did something as stupid as not changing that. I'm sorry for being an idiot.

Thankyou so much for your help guys, it was much appreciated.

Re: BladeRunner Pro v3 and Oztivo grabber errors

Hello,

I am getting a similar error - BRP is telling me it can't find listing2.xml when it runs.

If I look under the appropriate directly - alas it has vanished!! Very strange as it has been working without fault.

Anyone know where it went and better yet how to resolve? Do I have to go through and write the whole thing again? It is set up for both FTA and Foxtel here in Melbourne.

Hope someone might know....THANKS!
