Unhandled Exception Error

Hi to all

My epg stopped working some time ago but have not had time to look into it til now. I decided to uninstall / setup again from scratch.

I downloaded BRP 3.5 and Oztivo Extreme and followed the instructions at http://www.oztivo.net/twiki/bin/view/TVGuide/MCE up to the point where I ran the software to obtain the xml data. At thi point I received an Unhadled Exception error - see below.

I have been reading posts for days and I can not find anyone that has reported exactly the same error.

I am running XP with MCE2005 software. I have updated all relevant drivers including BIOS, Video, Sound, etc.

From what I can tell, this would appear to be a .net framework error. I have both versions 1.1 and 2.0 (sp1) installed. I have tried uninstalling version 2.0 as per a post I read but that was worse. I have since installed it again.

The only other information is that I have dual compro tuners (DVB-T300) which are not working properly (IRQ sharing). I do not think this has anything to do with the error but I though it necessary to mention just in case (Maybe someone might know how I can get these cards to work on there own IRQ...)

I would appreciate any help that anyone can provide.

Thanks in advance

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Re: Unhandled Exception Error

Hi,

[I'm pretty sure] OzTiVOExtreme does not work anymore. Try using xmltvDownload from here: http://forum.epgstream.net/viewforum.php?f=35

Thanks,

Re: Unhandled Exception Error

ok, I am now using xmltvdownload and the this seems to work fine in that no errors occur however, if i setup then look at the guide in WMC 2005 I can see that it the grabbing is working because I have valid data for ABC2 HD but every other channel is displaying No data available.

The problem is that I can not seem to be able to add listings to the channels. When I sellect a channel in "Add Listings to Channels", I only get the option of selecting either ABC2 or ABC2 HD - The other channels do not appear. I have never seen this problem before.

I have read the various forum threads and have tried things like modifying the Channel ID between the xmltv.xml file with that of the ChannelSettings file. I have tried this to no avail. I still onlt get ABC2 and ABC2 HD to choose from. I have tried rebooting using different xml files but nothing to date has worked.

Also, most of the other threads that refer to similar issues date back to 2005 - 2007. I am confused - is chennelinfo.xml still used???

I am in Sydney and are using a freshly installed version of MS Windows XP MCE 2005

Any assistance would be appreciated.
