OzTivo grabber "stopped"

I've been using OzTivo for a few months without any problems at all. Went to schedule the World Cup to record tonight and my guide data just "stops" at midnight? Across all of my channels.

I ran BRP out of MCE and it came up with the following error at the end (it appeared to download all of the days just fine as it went through):

Could not find file "C:\Windows\ etc \GuideData\listing2.xml

I don't recall editing / creating the file it says is missing? I've been through the instructions on the wiki and no mention of this file?

Any hints before i remove all and reinstall?

Thanks

It must be a local problem at your end.

I have just upgraded to the latest BRP 3.5 with OzTivo. All is running fine (as it was before).

Re: OzTivo grabber "stopped"

Thanks guys. In the end, I just did a reinstall of BRP3.5 and OzTivo and it works again (well apart from having to now go back and renumber the channels but I have done SBS and that gets me through the World Cup tonight!).

New version of BRP3.5 seems better so not all bad news. Luckily I had the time to fix it...

Re: OzTivo grabber "stopped"

Listing2.xml is the file that your scraper creates for quickguide to transform into a bin file. From memory BRP deletes listing2.xml when it finishes so that means that if you run BRP without running the scraper it will come up with that error. However, If you've got BRP setup so that it executes the scraper this should never occur. I think this will only occur if you have a program like FreeXMLTV(no longer working) which creates a batch file which will execute the scraper and then executre BRP. Now i'm not sure how OzTivo gets setup in BRP but I have a feeling it gets setup to execute from inside BRP which makes this post kind of irrelevant but oh well. It may help someone.

Re: OzTivo grabber "stopped"

Thanks Flancer - yeah no idea what went wrong but reinstalling with BRP3.5 seemed to work ok. I don't know what happened but figured it was either hours and hours troubleshooting or 20 mins to reinstall...

Tonight's job is to re-enter all the damn channel numbers!

Re: OzTivo grabber "stopped"

I have exactly the same problem.
FreeXMLTV no longer works so I uninstalled it, but still get the same error, even though I set-up Oztivo.

Infact I can see OzTivo run before Bladerunner.
Perhaps it is a different problem?

Still, I'll install 3.5

Re: OzTivo grabber "stopped"

Thanks
Cooper

Re: OzTivo grabber "stopped"

BRP 3.5 fixed "listing2.xml not found error. In fact BRP 3. explicitly says it fixes this problem.
i just downloaded 4 days from OzTivo (in Melb). Maybe its a local problem.

Re: OzTivo grabber "stopped"

I'm getting 6 days of data for Adelaide with Oztivo, but given it is community based and reliant on their database having gaps filled, it may not always have as much. However, over the last 10 days I think I've only noticed one 30min programming gap for one channel. So that's pretty good!! I'm very appreciative of the Oztivo service.
