Smile OzTiVoGrabber for Media Portal - updated 24/4/08

Hi All,

I've written a grabber for MP that can get data from the OzTivo website in AU for foxtel and put it into Media Portal. So all of the foxtel channels will have the TV Guide info available in Media Portal. It can also assign those foxtel channels to your analog card and together with IR Server Suite (also found on the MP website) you can switch channels on your foxtel STB using your MCE remote.

update 24/8/08

1.0.7.1
added the assign to card option.
added a sleep timer. note that the grabber will not start the download if the properties page is displayed. it needs to be put to sleep and will wake up at the right time.
added multithreading. the ui should more somewhat more responsive.
added a better progress bar.

The main thread is here -> http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/pl...-foxtel-37305/

Re: OzTiVoGrabber for Media Portal

my grabber can probably be easily extended to use icetv epg data... but free as in beeris best and i've found the oztivo data to be pretty good for a volunteer effort. but if someone wants it, i can try and add it.

I did think of something to change/fix with my grabber... there is a 'number of days to grab and so with a setting of 1 it implies that it will be run once a day (3am most likely) to grab the latest data from the oztivo site.. On my vista box i can't get the scheduling to run properly so i need to manually run it once a day which is a pain. So i'll look into make it wake up at 3am and download the data instead.

btw, any suggestions would be much appreciated. i dont really have a complicated MP setup - just straight digital and foxtel channels so no doubt there's more things i could add.

Re: OzTiVoGrabber for Media Portal

are you using Media Portal 1.0.0.0 rc1? if so, version 1.0.8.1 of oztivograbber isnt compatible with it yet.. you'll need to hang out for the new version of oztivograbber which isnt too far away..
