Media Library Software for AVI's

This may seem like a bit of an odd one. I'm looking for some software that I can basically use as a front end for all of my AVI movie files stored on my HDD. I'm thinking something that has a basic but user friendly GUI and displays the DVD coverand lets me play the movie from the software (either within the software or via Media Player or something). I'm sure there's an option if you have MCE however I don't right now and just want something for my movies.

Anyone have any suggestions? Any would be greatly appreciated.

XBMC of course! You have to run an old modded xbox though. and yes it will do component video out and optical audio out, who needs a PC.

Re: Media Library Software for AVI's

I would have a look at Mediaportal www.team-mediaportal.com. I have upwards of 100 movies on my media machine saved to avi and played back with Mediaportal. Lots of other stuff to do with it also such as play music, view photos, newsfeeds, weather and all of the other stuff that you would expect. Best of all its free.
