I run foxtel through mce and was looking for a plugin wich i could use which i can record 2xdigital in background with mini epg.
the good thing is gbvr runns in background.
i wrote a plugin to use it with mce.
the good thing is tv auto starts and just set my recordins and watch tv then exit back into media centre.

Try Webscheduler it would suit your needs quite well and is a bloody light program...
