Hey i have a DMA2100.
and on vista i finally just got videos to work and play in media centre but on the dma2100 it just comes up with video cannot play blah blah blah.
For the record, the codecs you install on your VMC have no bearing on what can/cannot be played on the extender. You are stuck with whatever Linksys have chosen to support. Also note that the DMA won't play DivX's unless you modify their FourCC code to Xvid. Search for "FourCC Changer" to get a hold of a copy of this useful program. From memory you may even find it in this site's downloads.

It's pretty self explanatory. You just open the file and change the code from Divx to XVID and click apply. Something like that anyway. If you've got heaps of them to change I think there's a batch version around somewhere too.
I thought it was just the audio portion that wouldn't play. I haven't done any specific testing to check, have you?
I offloaded mine to a mate a month or two back (was the best option for him as he has a 51cm CRT), so I only get info second hand. I might take a look at them again when the Dlink & HP ones come out.
