DMA2100 best video file format?

Hi,

I've just got a DMA2100. I am using ethernet connectivity, an it is working well. It is connected to a Samsung 32" LCD via HDMI cable. It is connected to the Samsung at 1080i.

The picture quality with live TV is awesome.
The picture quality of AVI's (might be divx not sure) is terrible.

What video format should I convert my DVD rips and Xvids/DiVxs etc so that they will play in the same good quality on the DMA2100 as they play on the VMC box.

What application is also recommended for the video conversion?

Cheers

Re: DMA2100 best video file format?

anyone?

Surely someone is playing around with different video formats on the extenders, I cannot live with the crap/choppy quality of the Divx/Avi/etc, especially as they play crystal clear on the VMC box.

Re: DMA2100 best video file format?

I haven't bothered as xvids (& divxs tagged as xvids) look fine on mine. Mind you, mine is connected to a small CRT via composite, so that probably helps.
