Power-Off Media Center via Extender

Since I've bought my Linksys DMA2100 I tried without succes to Turn-OFF remotely my VistaMC.

The only way it seems to be inside the "More Programs" section in the Extender menu.
There are a list of icons only of SOME of the icons that are in the same sencion of the MediaCenter. But I don't understand how Extender chose which Icon shoud be present and which not, into its menù. For example there are no Chess Icon, but, if I install VistaMCE SDK or NERO Burning in Vista, into the Extender More Programs senction I found the new Icon of the SDK and Nero.

I managed to create an MCL script that runs a Turn-Off.bat batch file that contains the command "shutdown.exe /p" and I placed it in the directory "c:\Users\All Users\Media Center Programs" where already I've found a Sample.mcl file (created by the installation of the SDK) that are present also in the Extender. Result: Into the More Programs of the VistaMC the new Icon is present and does the shutdown correctly. Into the Extender the Icon is still not present!
So I tried simply to edit the Sample.mcl (that was present also into the Extender) adding the run line to the Turn-Off.bat. Result: Into the Extender menu the Sample.mcl Icon disappeared!!!

Any suggestion?

Re: Power-Off Media Center via Extender

Moocow, you probably answered "Yes" to "Enable Away Mode" during the DMA2100 setup. This effectively nobbles standby. You'll have to go into Power Options to fix it.

Andrea, you could try copying the wmdb files from C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player to the corresponding directory for the mcx user. I doubt it will work, but it has the happy knack of making some stubborn media and playlists appear on the extender. So does re-performing the extender setup. Failing those options, you probably need some help from someone who's written a plug-in or two - Niall?
