While on a search for HVR2200 pricing & stock (something about these cards has grabbed me ), I found some pretty hot pricing on the Linksys extenders. As my normal supplier still hadn't come through with stock, I promptly cancelled my order & ordered a DMA2100 from here. There DMA2200 price is interesting too.
Justin
PS: Apologies if this causes anyone to feel buyer's remorse.

That's pretty much around the going rate. I wouldn't take any notice of the recommended retail prices being quoted. Very few retailers are anywhere near it.
The DMA2200 is 5% cheaper than the lowest price on StaticIce - that's what prompted me to post. For some reason they have other items listed on SI (like the HVR2200 cards), but these aren't.

Yes it's absolutely at the bottom end of the prices I've seen. Certainly worth the post!
The other thing that struck me is that our pricing is very competitive with US prices. The cheapest I could find in the US was US$229 for the DMA2100 (about A$247 ATM) & it was rare to see prices less than US$250. A$249 is pretty amazing. It's even more amazing when you look at UK prices. For once we're not being bent over & .....

Guys before you get too excited, be aware that plenty of people still have major issues with these things including connectivity, Live TV pixellation, lack of power management options and in some cases (including mine,) MCE machines hanging and requiring a cold boot. Personally I'm hoping that they release a firmware update to resolve some of these things so don't say you weren't warned.
Yeah I'm aware of those issues. Interestingly, I haven't seen many complaints like that over at TGB.
Anyway, my strategy is simple: try the DMA2100 in place of my Xbox 360, and then eBay the lesser device.
Odd, I've read a few over at TGB and on the Linksys forums especially the connectivity and intermittent lock-up issues. the one that bothers me most is that I can't use S3 sleep and WOL with it because it causes my VMC box to completely freeze. Other than that I guess it mostly does the job.
