DMA2200 error + Using MY Movies

Hello all,

I have just received and setup this unit. It looks great; really excited about it all. Setup was very easy, and it is working fine across some netgear ethernet over power adapters which is a bonus. The only annoyance is the slow speed of the interface and how it moves between menu items. I suppose slow is the wrong word..... it moves quickly, but is not smooth like the VMC itself. No matter though, as i hear a fix is on the way for this.

2 things though:
1) When i boot it up, and it first loads up the VMC interface i get a popup box error. Something along the lines of "this process has failed"......but it goes away really quickly. I will try it again tonight to see exactly what the error is, but it dissapeared quickly.

2) Has anyone got MY MOVIES working with it? MY Movies loads just fine, but it cannot find the path to the movie files. On my media centre rig i have it setup so that the movie drive is mapped to say M (i know, how strange ;>). So it says "cannot locate p:\movie\movie.ext (whatever the extension is).

Should i be using UNC paths? Just not sure how this works with extenders.....or if it is meant to at all??

Thanks all.

Adam

Re: DMA2200 error + Using MY Movies

You need to set a login script under the extenders profile to map the drives using UNC paths for every extender you own, search for netlogon, my scipt is as follows:

net use m: /delete /yes
net use m: "\\NAS\videos1" /user:xbox360 babbage
net use n: /delete /yes
net use n: "\\NAS\videos2" /user:xbox360 babbage
net use o: /delete /yes
net use o: "\\NAS\videos3" /user:xbox360 babbage

This sets up the shares to be accessible when the extender logs in.

Great info. I hope you don't mind but I've quoted you on this in my DMA2200 thread here.
