idea..... plugin for managing movies

Hey all i have a heap of movies/dvds in various places around the house
some on my media some on a second computer thats not on unless i need something and some on DVD the problem is i never know what movies i have and where they are.
I stuck together an excel spread sheet that has all my movies and where they are IE cd number. but unfortunately i cant access this via remote from withing MCE.

Question. how hard would it be for someone to setup say a Access Database with a web front end and embed it into MCE?
The database is the easy part, embedding it into MCE i have NFI about that or whether i am simply barking up the wrong tree.

But my movies requires you to download all the info from the internet. and correct me if im wrong but it doesnt have a facility for giving cds numbers and you cant just import a list of movies, i tryed that and there where to many fields in the database that needed filling

Re: idea..... plugin for managing movies

You can by typing out a list of your movies and pressing enter after each entry (in txt document) then importing through New My Movies and you can also give dvds a number (eg 1 or a1 or b4 etc)
