Has anyone had any joy installing this thing, let alone getting it to work with MCE?

If so, how? For me the bundled installer seems to do more damage than good.

TIA

I worked out that the installer was installing the TV2000 drivers, not DTV1000

So I installed the correct drivers. Now the card is recognised in MCE, but that's it. It does nothing.

Piece of crud, I think, and best blacklisted.

Seems to me Twinhan and DVICO DTV cards are the least painless to get going under MCE.

Ive got 2 of these working in my machine.

Very fast channel scan and picks up all channels.

What version of MCE are you running.
If pre rollup 2 then you will need the modified psisdecd.dll with channel frequencies installed.
The same as most cards require.

If running Emerald it should scan straight up.

Search the forum for the info on the Arkays psisdecd.dll.

Fred

If you have not been on the Microsoft OEM site and downloaded "Emerald" or got it from elsewhere then you not using "Emerald".
I would recommend not using "Emerald"

The DTV1000 works perfectly in XPMCE and with "Emerald"

I run dual DTV1000's without a hassle.

Cheers
