Iphone App for Media Centre.....

Check this out, for most iphone/ipod touch users you are probably aware of the remote app for itunes well there is now one more for media centre. Its called vmcmote. I have just tested and it also works in Win 7 however only 32Bit is supported.
I know NGRC is very similar but im not a fan of these web based solutions as i find the update time to slow, but vmcmote is just as quick as the remote app.

Anyway it can be found in the store at itunes and here are few links:

Re: Iphone App for Media Centre.....

I'm using Air Mouse which is a mouse touchpad and keyboard.

Lets me control windows media centre the way a mouse does but also enables me to fiddle with the actual computer without needing a wired/wireless keyboard/mouse combo.

Very different though.

The main feature of vmcMote is that you can control your music from anywhere in wi-fi range. You don't actually have to be in the room as you can scroll through your music (complete with art work) from the iphone/ipod. The actually remote part is basic, but functional.

The one thing I would like is the same ability with recorded tv/videos etc, but the developer has stated that he won't be doing that.

Re: Iphone App for Media Centre.....

This will be outstanding for me as i plan to wire up some speakers in the shed and have them connected to my media pc and zoned via my HT amp.
i always have my mobile phone on me therefore the ability to control my music via my phone has a lot of applications.
DGAUST is correct though, would be nice to be able to stream video.
