Power button on remote closes the VMC window only?

The remote is a cheap Jaycar Digitech remote $14.50 as I have a harmony 1000i I wanted to use. now I have everything set up the way I want except the stupid power button.
I don't want to have to buy another remote to get the power button. Does anyone know of a fix? thanks

Yes it does close other windows when i press it in say IE and any other window. It seems like it is sending the alt-F4 command.

Problem solved, bought a vista media centre remote.
