MCE remote and Frontview s/w

Sometime ago when experimenting with HTPC cases, I purchased a Accent H101 box with it's included VFD display. The display unit is an Hitachi 44780 compatible controller which connects to the PC LPT port and shipped with iMon software and wireless freedom remote. I was never able to get the display to work with the included crap iMon s/w and eventually found the Frontview s/w which works fine. I never had a problem with the iMon remote working but it's not ideal for controlling Media Centre.

So to my question! Does anyone know of a way to get the MS MCE remote to work with this display/software combo?

I know it doesn't really answer your question, but the MS remote has a USB receiver that is pretty discrete. I put my imon remote away and just use the MS remote and external receiver.

Re: MCE remote and Frontview s/w

My original case & setup was same as matth - then I changed to ian_pop's setup.
Basically, those early versions of the iMon IR reciever were not compatible with MCE remotes.
