Has anyone seen a 2 into 1 HDMI adaptor?

I have a silly newbie question...

I have one HDMI input to my Plasma and have two devices that can talk on HDMI
As I would only ever have one running at a time is there such a device that allows on HDMI connection to be shared across two devices (a bit like a USB hub?)

Is this possible/available or am I barking mad??

Re: Has anyone seen a 2 into 1 HDMI adaptor?

You just need an HDMI switcher: e.g. Jaycar AC1692.

Beware, some HDMI video cards don't like these devices & may not hold their output or settings when the other HDMI device is in use.

Re: Has anyone seen a 2 into 1 HDMI adaptor?

Thanks Justin. I am not connecting my PC directly to the TV but am using the DMA2200 linksys media extender. So as long as the media extender and the other HDMI device (set top box) are happy I should be too.

Cheers.

Have a look at this one. http://ijk.com.au/branch/ijk/product...ucts_id=112215. It is only switchable manually.

Re: Has anyone seen a 2 into 1 HDMI adaptor?

Switch/splitter whatever will do the job for you. There are a few important things to thinnk of here.
1/. Make sure it is HDMI v1.3 compatible. Hence will support Deep Colour.
2/. Think of where you are going to mount this switch as some have bright lights on the front that cannot be turned off
3/. Some are matrix switches and require manual switching or you can get the auto detecting switches that are much more user and WAF friendly.

Personal recommendation: octava....
