Silverstone GD-01 Hard Drive x 3 Mounting

I have a GD-01 case with the Hard drive cage that holds 6 x HDDs if needed.
I am wondering if I mount 3 HDDs across the cage (east/west) are they going to run too hot?
They will be all but touching each other, only about 1mm between them.
The outside drives would be ok, but would the centre drive run too hot??
I am leaning toward mounting them North/South again, but they do take up a little more room.
There is not much room in there for a fan...
Has anyone mounted them East/West successfully??

Re: Silverstone GD-01 Hard Drive x 3 Mounting

Three would have been too close but two is fine.
Anyone who wants to use this as a reference......

Re: Silverstone GD-01 Hard Drive x 3 Mounting

Has anybody mounted the Hard Drives like this???
Is three overdoing it for heat issues??
I have two now and would like three but three means they are almost touching. I guess this is a drama???
I dont want to mount a fan in there either.

Re: Silverstone GD-01 Hard Drive x 3 Mounting

I have 2 mounted east/west as per your pics with a third(OS drive) mounted north/south in the bay closed to the side of the case. This seems to work OK.

But dam this case is tight! And I hate the psu placement.

Re: Silverstone GD-01 Hard Drive x 3 Mounting

There is alot of space between the two drives when mounted East West.
But what I want to do is squeeze 3 x drives in East West.
There would be only 3-4mm between each of them. And I dont want to mount a fan in there??
I think I will have to mount my 3rd drive like you.
Do you have a pic???
