How to identify PSU Replacement

Hi Guys,

I have ran in to a problem with my Media Centre (Advent DHE 1000). It will simply not boot up, initially I thought this may be a HD issue so I bought a replacement but syill no joy.

Once the Media Centre is switched on I get the standard "Starting Up" text on the front display and I can hear the HD spinning and even the fans but it just remains in this state.

Now I am thinking it may be the power supply (don't know this for sure) but I think it's the next step to try - correct me if I am wrong. The problem I have is that the power supply is obviously not a standard shape or size with it belonging to a Media Centre unit. How do I find out which supply to buy that will work with the DHE 1000.

I have searched google / ebay and the internet but as this is an old model I am not having too much joy..

Any help or advice you are able to give will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance
Tylor
