HD STB and Vista

Here in SA (South Africa) we have just received HD TV. The problem is that we have to use a STB to receive the signal. The box has HDMi, component and composite outputs plus digital audio outputs.

I don't think that there are any HDMi capture cards available that will work with Vista (or MCE2005) so my question is will a TV card with component inputs work.

Like this one here

They broadcast in 720p and will component cables accept a 720p signal?

Cheers
G
