Re: so on a whim i bought a...

Bluetooth ones shouldn't affect sleep. The issue was in the actual reciever hardware, so hopefully using BT eliminates that annoying problem. Let us know how you go!!

Cheers

I have the same keyboard/mouse combo - no problems here.

Except for once in a while I'll need to press the connect buttons on the devices.

Re: so on a whim i bought a...

my initial concern was the dongle used USB which when it comes to sleep
causes a variety of issues with Vista.

After setting the mouse and keyboard up, there does not seem to be any issues. Have been running it over 24 hours and each time waking up has been good.

If anything, wakes up too good due to the mouse sensitivity.

Will post update after a week..

I had big problems with this keyboard/mouse and resume from sleep. It would regularly lock up my PC to the point where only a hard reset at the power switch would fix things.

Moved the bt usb dongle to a different usb hub and the problem disappeared.

Re: so on a whim i bought a...

ok its been a week. No issues with the mouse or keyboard.

What i have found lacking though, seeing this is a "media centre keyboard" and we all like to watch movies in the dark, would need some sort of level level illumination under keys that can be turned off or on.

But functionality wise, and comparing to normal mouse and keyboard its pretty good.
No issues with waking up or putting to sleep the VMC.
