very interested in the Antec NSK2480 as a case for my HTPC.
However i have a cabinet with only a tiny bit of height on the shelf (13.3cm)
the specs of the case say the height is 13.97cm
now what i need to know is if this includes the feet on the bottom or not.
Can somebody do me a huge favor and measure the height without the feet?
also, what are some tips to keep the components in this case silent.
do the fans have 3 speeds? as i read?
im going to use a Mini Ninja Cpu cooler in it, does it fit fine?
i also read it come with rubber grommet screws?

With the feet, you'll need 14.5cm of space. I don't think you could/should remove the feet anyway.

Yes they do and you can remove and blank off one

It's the most popular aftermarket cooler for the NSK so yes.
Not sure what you mean by rubber grommet screws. Are you maybe getting confused with rubber fan mountings?
so are we saying the 13.97 on the antec website, does NOT include the feet.
if it doesnt, there is no chance it would fit. maybe i can put ontop of table.
are their any similar cases i can look at?

did you mean 13.97, or did you measure it as 13.3 without the feet

I measured it from the bottom of the actual steel case to the top of the lid (just remeasured it) & it's 13.3 or 13.4 cm, but as I said, it has sharp pointy bits sticking out the bottom (probably a good 3-4mm in some cases) so it's not an option.
If you believe Antec (& their local distributors), then the Micro Fusion 350 will be out around the 8th of September - more expensive, but smaller. They're supposed to be coming up with an NSK1480 some time soon (same size as the Micro), but I don't know how far away a plain black version would be.

You won't get anything much thinner than Fusion case unless you go for a low-profile option. If you want to have full sized expansion cards standing upright, then I don't think you'll find any suitable cases.
Even if you could find something that just fitted, you would probably have trouble with cooling as most cases have intake air vents on the top and bottom. If you obstruct these by wedging it into a cabinet, you'll almost certainly have overheating problems.
There are some good low-profile cases out there, though. Maybe you should be looking at those. Something like this, maybe?

Hey, this is not really a small case, but it is a great case, lots of room to move and install everything. Probably won't fit into the shelf that you mentioned, as the others have mentioned taking the feet off is probably not a good idea, there is a few screws that protrude and also some ventilation from memory.
Just got mine delivered yesterday and it was a bit bigger than I realised - being that it takes a uATX motherboard.
I have a 4850e with stock fan and both 120mm fans on the lowest setting, runs very cool and exceptionally quiet, the fans do get a bit noisy on full power(with the case open), but if I need more cooling then the medium setting should be a good trade-off.
Some tips to keep the case silent..
It all ready is!! Rubber grommets are a great for silencing the HDD vibrations (the most noise in a case along with the CD/DVD drive) that can resonate in normal cases - I also have a Antec Solo which has these, both are great cases and really help keep noise to a minimum.
I can't vouch for the Mini Ninja, but I have a Full sized one in my main computer. It keeps my Intel C2D 6850 running very cool at high load. There should be plenty of space in the case itself for this cooler, with the stock AMD cooler installed there is about 4cm spare. The height of the ninja mini is 115 mm, when I get home I’ll measure the distance from the top of the CPU to the top of the case and let you know. I'm looking at one of these too

thanks mate.
i think i will still get the case anyway, and just chuck it elsewhere.
I just bought this case, I swapped out the TriCool fans, I noticed the HDD bays get zero to little airflow so I also put a small 8cm fan in there which dropped the temps about 10C.
Where can you buy the Mini Ninja in Aus? Ive looked around and PC case gear in Victoria looks like the only suplier, Anyone seen it elsewhere?.
Is the middle metal wall in the case removable? like can you unscrew it? cause i want to change the psu and put in a fanless one... and so ill have to remove the wall so there is airflow from left to right...

No, it's integral to the 5.25 bay & the hard drive bay wall & it's rivoted.
