Request for an opinion - NetPlus

Evening all . . .

Seems like the NetPlus website in WA has some fairly good prices on Samsung hard drives at the moment (500gb for $74, 1tb for $174).

http://www.netplus.com.au/products-l...0Hard%20Drives

Was wondering if anyone had any experience ordering from these guys that they would care to share? The only better pricing at the moment seems to be from Fluidtek:

*nuff said about them*

Cheers,

B.

Re: Request for an opinion - NetPlus

Bought my samsung 1tb and several previous drives from them. Quite a large store with good service. Haven't used them over the net.

Re: Request for an opinion - NetPlus

Been shopping with NetPlus for 13 or 14 years... Bought my very first actual PC from them way back in the 486 era. Great service, never had a problem at all. And they have great sponsor specials through the Overclockers Australia forums.

I think you'll find the Samsung 1Tb for $174 is the 5400rpm model. The 7200rpm version is $189 and that price is beaten by other vendors.

If your buying online you may be able to do better for the 7200rpm 500 & 1Tb. Do an sI search using 7200rpm filter.

If you're doing a walk-in purchase at Netplus they may well beat a cheaper online price + delivery costs.

Have a look at IT Estate and Fluidtek websites but only if doing a pickup from them.

I've bought from Netplus a couple of times online and had no dramas with delivery etc to Sydney.

Sven (and everyone else) - thanks for the replies. I'm not too fussed about RPM speed, as I'm looking for a bunch of disks to set up another RAID for the "black hole" that is my media collection.

If the tax-man is nice to me (and the Minister for Domestic Finance doesn't get to it first ) I might do some shopping with them!

Cheers,

B.
