Re: Known fault with Logitech DiNovo Mini with Vista

I knew I should have done my homework before buying one. My Dinovo Mini does exactly the same thing . i have had some success though i did replace the dongle with a Belkin (100m) and got rid of the Logitech one. this has at least lets it connect when the PC is started and so far so good. But still no luck with bringing it out of sleep mode Dammit.

Do I need Setpoint 4.6 to use the DiNovo and USB or not????
Or can I uninstall it??

Re: Known fault with Logitech DiNovo Mini with Vista

The DiNovo Mini is just detected as a USB Keyboard/Mouse.
I personally prefer not to install the Logitech software (ie, annoying and consumes system resources)

Re: Known fault with Logitech DiNovo Mini with Vista

I have a Logitech Harmony 1000 remote...same problem. Happens about once a month, usually when you button push too fast...could be a memory fault. Reboot to fix, still a pain.

Re: Known fault with Logitech DiNovo Mini with Vista

I have had the Dinovo mini for a few weeks and I am having the problem others have been talking about.
Sometimes after the system has been turned on it will not regognise the Dinovo.
The only way I have been able to make it work is to take the battery out and put it in again.
Simply pressing the red buttons on the remote or keyboard doesnt detect it.
Any ideas???
Apart from that it is a great easy to use piece of equipment.

Re: Known fault with Logitech DiNovo Mini with Vista

Ive got the exact same problem as everyone else is having. I put in a issue with Logitech and they were very responsive and said they would post me out a new unit that has the problem fixed...until they found out I was in Australia and now I have to post the unit interstate to where I bought it and wait for them to send me a new one! Not very happy and still not sure I want to be without the keyboard for so long

Re: Known fault with Logitech DiNovo Mini with Vista

If you are having this problem with the Dinovo Mini, Logitech does offer a swap for a newer version which has had the issue resolved.
And yes you may have to pay some postage if you bought it online....
but if you want the problem gone it is only a few dollars..

How do you identify the fixed version?

I am not sure as mine is only 3 months old. But Logitech support said that the "newer" units have addressed the problem. It is not a software fix, it is part of the unit hardware.
I guess if it doesnt play up coming out of S3 then it is the newer version. At least they have good customer support to back up the product. I had no problem with them issueing another unit and admitting there was a problem.
