Harmony One or 890?

Folks, I am a newbie so forgive me but I have searched around here and not found the answer.

I am looking at these two remotes and ideally I want to control all my stuff which is behind solid doors

The natural choice of the two appears to be the 890 but I haven't seen any review of it here and want to ensure I am not purchasing a dud or that I am missing out because the Harmony One is so much more superior in all other respects.

Any information would be appreciated.

The Harmony 890 is RF which allows it to work through objects, the Harmony One isn't so there is only one choice ... the 890. But then again if you use an IR repeater in conjunction with the Harmony One you'll be okay too.

I have read lots about the Harmony One and the 890 and think I will go for the Harmony ONE
Can anyone recommend an IP repeater please

Thanks I think I am now all set apart from where to purchase teh Harmony One from?

I searched Shopbot.com.au and came up with a price of $294 from these folk.

I picked a Harmony ONE up this week off eBay for $241 (+ $20 postage) and have spent part of today configuring it. Still quite a few little teething problems to get through but so far it's left a grin on my face for the better part of the day, and no remorse in dropping that much on a remote at all. I can finally hide those 7 other remotes on my coffee table and stick them in a cupboard somewhere out of site.

If it helps anyone, I've pulled together a set of icons specifically for these Harmony remotes for both free to air (incl HD channels) and some of my more frequently used Foxtel channels. These are great when set up in the remote as your favourite channels.

For the benefit of the wider community, i've stuck them in the downloads section here:

Will no doubt be back at some stage as i hit a few barriers i can't figure out on my own.

The Harmony One is the best Remote I've yet owned and I've had a few! You should certainly be happy with it once it's setup right.
Thanks for the extra channel logos. Some are an improvement on the ones I uploaded HERE a few weeks ago, some of course are the same as the ones I uploaded but that's ok, sharing is what this community is all about.

heheh.. Thanks Mysteron... It was your free to air download that prompted me to put the Foxtel ones up there as well. Full credit where credit is due.
