MCE remote with Mac Mini IR receiver?

I've recently installed Vista on my Mac Mini to be used solely as a Media Centre. Everything has gone exactly to plan, though the only bump in the road I have encountered is attempting to use a MCE remote with the standard Mac Mini IR receiver. In its current state, it simply doesn't work.

Does anyone know of a way to utilise the inbuilt Mac Mini IR receiver with a MCE remote?

Re: MCE remote with Mac Mini IR receiver?

It should be doable using HIP though I've never gotten around to trying it myself, here's an MCE remote HIP faq that should help.

I know the current Boot Camp drivers map some of the MCE remote keys to iTunes, I'm not sure if that'll cause any problems.
