MS remote, cannot enter text

Ok, I replaced my old cheap-arse remote with a proper MS one, and its working fine, except it wont enter text. Trying to do music searches it only enters numbers. Is there something I'm missing here?

Re: MS remote, cannot enter text

+/- buttons don't change the mode between alpha & numeric?

Re: MS remote, cannot enter text

Just saw in another thread that you have a Fusion case, are you still using the Fusion's IR sensor? If so, it doesn't allow triple tap (alpha) on the remote.

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

Thank god I didnt choose the Fusion case on the basis of having a straight forward setup.
Ok, I'm using the MS receiver now and its working. Thanks dude :P

On the subject of the MS receiver, what is the extra cord for? Is it and IR extender or something?
