Sorry but that's not cheap - I just picked one of the Samsung 750gb HDD's up from IT Estate for $110 this afternoon
It was a toss up between that and the Samsung 640gb - I decided to opt for more space per spindle with the 750gb as I only want it for Recorded TV storage on my VMC

Re: It Estate does it again

well just two weeks ago a mate of mine picked up two 750GB drives from ITEstate for $99 each.

Not sure if that special is still around as they have updated their website... I preferred the older one.

Re: It Estate does it again

I am hopelessly waiting for 1TB drives to go $99. Then I will get 8 of them, and fix my storage problem for a while with 7TB of RAID5.

They got a bargain - They've gone up to $105 at the moment
I agree the old site was easier to navigate - however I'm getting used to the new format now

You'll need to be very patient - the 1tb Samsung is $179 at IT Estate at the moment

Re: It Estate does it again

I've always found Netplus in Perth to be amazingly cheap, they're often cheaper than my wholesale supplier!
They have the Samsung 640GB @ $89 the 750GB (32MB cache) @$99 & the 1TB @$189 or $174 for the 1TB EcoGreen version, the 1TB WD intellipower drive is also well priced @ $199, the icing is that they've always been happy to price match for me.

Edit: MCGTECH Perth have the Samsung 1TB (32M) @ $158!
